Peter O’Mara

A former Assistant State’s Attorney for Cook County, Peter worked for more than a decade on contract matters for many clients at the Board of Trade, drafting operating agreements, stock purchase contracts, and negotiating other complex contractual and transactional matters. A skilled litigator, he has seen many cases through to favorable verdicts.

years, managing a sales force of hundreds and generating $10 million in annual revenue. His business experience, coupled with his legal acumen, gives him insight into the unique legal challenges facing business owners.

Peter earned his J.D. cum laude from Penn State Law School on an academic scholarship. During law school, he was named Managing Editor of the Penn State Law Review and earned a CALI Awards for highest grades in Corporations, Negotiations, and Law & Medicine. He began litigating while still in law school, trying felony cases and serving as a clerk for the Cook County State’s Attorney during the summer. He also holds a bachelor’s degree from Boston College.

Peter lives in Chicago with his wife and three children.
